We are pleased to announce that progress is being made on the future of the partnership for the first post-incarceration transition home in the Winston-Salem Area. While there have been some ministries that have aided or assisted some men and women upon their release, we strive to open the first center dedicated solely to men and women as they transition back into the community in and around Winston-Salem. On Wings Like a Dove and RVM has had several meetings with other organizations in the last month to see this vision become a reality in the near future. Stay alert for more information to come soon.
As many may have known, we made a decision to halt our announcements for privacy concerns and issues stemming from a few individuals, not related to our ministry, who felt men and women who find themselves incarcerated should not be ministered to by those who have been incarcerated nor should anyone who has been incarcerated be in any form of ministry. We continued in our mission as we believe this is what God would have us to do. He has worked in our lives so much, we can't help but share who he truly is and all that he has done. We feel the time has come for us to once again share what God is allowing us to do for the advancement of his kingdom. What we do is nothing on our own, we only strive to do the best we can do for what we believe God has called us to do. Without him, we are nothing. Everything we do, is only because God has given us a task and we seek to be obedient to him. We are the least, and only GOD gets the glory.
We look forward to once again sharing what God is allowing us to do for him and his kingdom as we strive to remain his faithful servants.
Thank you all who have continued to help us live out what our Lord has called us to do.
